About
I love working with students. They are a source of inspiration! Their creativity and open-mindedness remind us that there are infinite possibilities. We are all explorers and empowered as learners, we arrive at profound insights and recognize that we can be agents of positive change.
I’m originally from Canada and I have been an international educator for over 18 years. Having taught in Spain, Brazil, Bulgaria, Vietnam and South Korea, I most recently taught MYP Individuals & Societies at The International School of Dakar, Senegal.
The performing arts is a huge part of my life. I have been a director, co-director, producer and dance choreographer collaborating with students and community members in after school theatre programs. I believe in the beauty and the power of the imagination. I integrate music, drama and the visual arts into my teaching. I am also passionate about social justice, design, innovation and architecture.
A healthy lifestyle is clearly vital. I enjoy practicing yoga, swimming and team sports. I started running and while I always find each run challenging, I love the way it clears my head. When living in Saigon, Vietnam, I discovered Muay Thai (kickboxing) and became instantly hooked. In South Korea, I continued training. In Dakar I took surfing classes. In addition to keeping active, I’m an avid reader and enjoy listening to an electric range music, podcasts, as well as learning the guitar and ukulele.
